Will the iPhone live up to all the hype? My vote is for yes. If you’re going to pay $500 (4GB) or $600 (8GB), you’re most likely expecting a quality product. Apple isn’t going to release an industry-altering device without doing plenty of beta testing and consumer polling. I’m sure Steve himself has burned one in for a good 2 months by now. Of course, that’s not to say that Apple hasn’t had a couple of flops.

OK, people, lets get down to brass tacks here. The iPhone? Yeah, it’s hot.

I have been an Apple/Macintosh nay-sayer for well over 16 years now (last Apple I used was a GS in 8th grade) and I REALLY want this mobile handheld device! However, I just received a BlackBerry 8800 from work, which does feature quite a few of the functions that the iPhone provides (in a lesser functionality, of course), so I’ll probably be putting this purchase on hold for a bit.

This weekend I was introduced to the Spike & Mike’s “Festival of Animation” at the Music Box Theatre on N. Southport. I’ll have to be honest that I went into it thinking it was going to be measurably lame and I was just going to humor the little lady that wanted to go. So I attended. Little did I know that it would be a hilarious mix of comical & animated shorts. It was most definitely worth the time and money and I’m glad I ended up attending.
